  • Mental health treatment;
  • Legal advice;
  • Financial advice.

Participants remain responsible for decisions, actions, and outcomes arising from their engagement with programme content.

Suitability for Participation

Certain Akkadium programmes, including DDARE: From the Logic of Survival to Empowered Service, involve structured reflection on personal experiences, identity, relationships, life transitions, professional practice, and patterns of meaning-making.

These programmes are educational and developmental in nature and are not intended as therapy, counselling, psychiatric treatment, addiction treatment, or crisis intervention.

To help ensure that participation is appropriate and beneficial, Akkadium reserves the right to conduct a brief pre-enrolment conversation or suitability review before accepting a participant onto a programme.

We may, at our sole discretion, decline or defer participation where we reasonably believe:

  • The programme is not currently suited to an individual’s circumstances;
  • Participation may pose a risk to the individual’s wellbeing;
  • Additional professional support may be more appropriate at the present time; or
  • The learning environment could be adversely affected.

Where participation is declined or deferred before programme commencement, any fees paid will normally be refunded in full.

Our intention in undertaking such reviews is not to exclude individuals unnecessarily, but to act responsibly in the interests of participant wellbeing and the integrity of the learning environment.

Wellbeing and Personal Responsibility

Some programmes may invite participants to engage in reflective activities relating to leadership, identity, culture, communication, relationships, life experiences, values, beliefs, or personal development.

Participation in such activities is voluntary.

Participants remain responsible for their own wellbeing and may choose not to engage with any activity they find uncomfortable or inappropriate for their circumstances.
